Dyslexia information Day was founded in 2018 by Elizabeth Wilkinson, 2018 sees ten years and eighteen events!
Elizabeth, the team of volunteers and exhibitors have between them, helped, informed and inspired over 2000 visitors, and are dedicated to continue on to help and empower even more over the coming years!
The very first Dyslexia information Day was in May 2008 at Ketley Community Center in Telford, and the eighteenth event is about to take place at Enginuity’s Engine Shop in Coalbrookdale, on Saturday 10th March 2018, CLICK HERE to get your FREE tickets (this helps up to gauge visitor numbers for printing and refreshments) but you can also just turn up on the day too.
This years themes are ‘Dyslexics doing what they love‘ & ‘Dyslexia doesn’t mean failure!’ We have amazing local exhibitors on hand to talk to folks about their businesses, being dyslexic and to share their stories, tips and hints and inspire families, individuals and employers that Dyslexia does not mean failure!
There are a few selling stands, but the focus is on visitors being inspired, informed and empowered, rather than spending lots of money! There are refreshments on sale, our amazing refreshments patron In The Loop aka Sally Joyner and her team will have the kettle on and cakes sliced! The profits from the sale of refreshments helps to keep the Craft Activities table running.
