Why get involved: 

When I found out I was dyslexic, I didn’t know much about it. I had previously assumed that it was just about poor reading and writing only, but it was only when I started to dig deep and research dyslexia as one of my Uni projects, that I realised both the gifts and challenges that dyslexia presents and make sense of my own experiences. I learned and truly believe that dyslexia is just a different way of thinking. Neither better or worse, just different. Just like I am short and can’t reach the top shelves of the supermarket yet talented in other areas in life, dyslexia is a difference not a disability. I wanted to inspire others to believe in themselves or their loved ones, people they work with or know that are dyslexic and help reduce the negative stigma associated with it.
