When did you find out you were dyslexic & how old were you? Aged 7 at Primary School.

How did you feel when you found out you were dyslexic? It just kinda made sense I would kind of muddle my way through and was frequently told  my mind was going quicker than the pen and to read things through , which I did but I read what I wrote not what other people see.

What difference has finding out, made to your life?  Its kinda always been with me although I had no help through secondary school help my support was 7-10 years old after that I kinda fended for my self.

What have you gone on to achieve since being diagnosed? I was a lecturer in further education, teaching hairdressing before moving into full time Dj’ing for Radio and Live venues like the Ice rink and Night clubs

What advice would you offer to other dyslexics?  Do what you want and are interested in if you want to do it you will find a way through or a way of adapting the jobs to your strengths (dyslexics are great like that).

What do you do to relax/hobbies? I’m fortunate that most of my hobbies Ice , Hockey, Djing working on the radio I get paid to do which is great . I go for days out with my partner , shop, I love vintage and home furnishings, We go to the cinema we have a card to go as often as you like (they do better out of the deal that I do). We used to eat out don’t so much since I have been loosing weight. I go to the gym I try for three early morning a week with my friend and I play Badminton Thursday evenings

Relaxing is for retirement (or may be not in my case) I love being busy and perform better when under pressure.

Anything you want to add? I love everything that I do and always have about a three page to do list on the go so when I get half a day I crack on with them, I do things now and am not a fan of putting things off.
