Amazing Art Award sponsored by an Amazing Artist!

The 2017 Dyslexia Awards Amazing Art Award has been generously sponsored by the fabulous Fusing Ideas Glass – Jill Bagnall!

Jill was disappointed that she was unable to attend the 2016 Dyslexia last November, so had made sure she has booked the date in her diary for 2017, non-the less Jill was a truly devoted dyslexia awards supporter – she was not only an award judge, but a table sponsor too! She made the most adorable gift bags for the table guests (see photo below), but Jill also created and donated a bespoke piece of glass for winner of the prestigious Founders Award, Katie McKeown! (see photo below)

Jill is no stranger to creativity and art, as she takes great joy in creating bespoke fused glass items (really do check out her website you will be impressed!). The Fusing Ideas Glass studio is based here in our beautiful county – Shropshire, and is well worth a visit when she has an open studio event!

So with Jill’s passion for Shropshire and art, dyslexia awards felt it very fitting that they accepted her offer to sponsor the 2017 Amazing Art Award!  For more information about Jill, her glass, classes, creations and open studio dates, please visit the website:

We agree with Jill that judging the Amazing Art Award herself could be a conflict of interest as she knows so many artists across Shropshire, so dyslexia awards will be using one of their own impartial judges to judge  the Amazing Art Award and they will keep Jill as a judge for the award she judged last year. All nominations are judged on the nominations received and the criteria for each award, and all judges are selected because of their profesionalism and impartiality.

Dyslexia Awards and Jill are very much looking forward to seeing lots of nominations for local dyslexic Shropshire artists for the 2017 Amazing Art Award!

To nominate your favourite Shropshire dyslexic artist, please visit the website:  and tell Dyslexia Awards why you feel your nominee is an amazing artist!
