Dyslexia Awards open in Shropshire!
The 2017 Dyslexia Awards are now open for nominations and are set to be yet another fantastic event, celebrating and championing Shropshire dyslexics, young and old as well as those who work and educate them too!
Dyslexia Awards founder Elizabeth Wilkinson, says that she is exceptionally grateful to the wonderful sponsors who make it all possible, and that five of the 2016 sponsors had pledge their support for this year before the 2016 event was even over! Federation of Small Businesses-Shropshire, Sponsoring the Innovation Award;Â In The Loop – Sally Joyner, sponsoring the Learning Support Award; Global Freight Services Ltd – Sponsoring the Shining Star Teenager (aged 13 – 19) award;Â Claire McKeown – True Potential, sponsoring the Shining Star Adult (aged 20+) award; and Special-T Assessments – sponsoring the Dyslexia information Day Award (the only award open to nominations from outside Shropshire) were the four sponsors who pledged their support.
Since then Elizabeth is pleased to report that most of the 2016 Dyslexia Awards Sponsors have continue their support for the awards, Elizabeth says “We really couldn’t run the awards without the sponsorship from these fantastic businesses!”
This year there are 14 awards in total for the 2017 Dyslexia Awards, with 13 of them limited to nominations form people and businesses who are in or from our beautiful county of Shropshire. That leaves just one award that is open to nominations for people outside of Shropshire! But there is a restriction, nominees have to have exhibited at one of the last 17 Dyslexia information Day events, Elizabeth goes onto say “I created the Dyslexia information Day award as a way to say thank you to all the exhibitors who come from far and wide to our little event, they offer inspiration and excellent service and i felt this was a great way to help promote them, their businesses and the great work they all do, as well as a great way to say ‘thanks’ from Shropshire!”. So if you think a past Dyslexia information day exhibitor deserves to be nominated for this award you can pop online and nominate them here. The first exhibitor to be nominated for this years Dyslexia Awards was Dekko Comics!
